2025 Taipei Youth Dream Life Festival to be Held December 6-7! Popular Bands × Youth Interactive Performances × International Cultural Experiences × Youth Innovation Market Creating the Most Anticipated Youth Event of the Year
To encourage diverse development among young people and to help them better understand the Department’s policies and resources, the Taipei City Government Department for Youth is hosting the "2025 Taipei Youth Dream Life Festival." The event will be held from December 6th to 7th, from 1 PM to 8 PM at the Taipei Performing Arts Center. The Department for Youth stated that this year's event has been comprehensively upgraded, combining a youth innovation market, international cultural experiences, youth interactive performances, and themed exhibitions. Popular bands will perform, creating an annual lifestyle extravaganza for the younger generation, showcasing the rich, diverse, and creative aspects of Taipei youth in international exchange, civic participation, career exploration, and entrepreneurial development. The Department for Youth also invites Taipei residents to gather at the end of the year to create their dream, or ideal, life together, allowing more people to see the vibrant energy and stories of Taipei's youth, and guiding young people to depict their own visions for the future.A dream life cannot be without music! This year, eight popular up-and-coming bands beloved by young people have been invited to perform, including icyball, GoodBand, Crispy, Vulgar Savior, hue, DrunkMonk, Human Heart, and ddkogi88. They will take turns bringing diverse musical styles such as rock, hip-hop, indie, and healing music, using music to express the voice of youth and ignite the city's energy.In addition to the main stage musical performances, the interactive performance stage will also feature stand-up comedy, acrobatic performances, and exciting dance performances. The event will kick off with a high-density, laugh-out-loud performance by the "Mancai Shaoye" from Yoshimoto Kogyo, Japan. Following this will be a special performance combining duo physical comedy, acrobatics, and ballet, as well as a street dance battle between three break dance troupes—Central BBreaker, Air Flavor Crew, and Baby Freeze Crew—all at the national youth level, alongside performances by Dance Chic Bon, Xpecshow Dance Troupe, and Always Dancing. The Shih Hsin University cheerleading team, along with a DJ, will provide energetic support, injecting the most vibrant youthful energy into the winter! An "Open Stage" will also be set up, inviting Taipei residents to perform and allowing every young person to boldly showcase their diverse talents!The Department for Youth mentions that this year's event features a specially designed "Global Culture Experience Zone," focusing on the cultures of the five continents. Combining traditional games, handicrafts, costume experiences, and interactive displays, these booths will allow Taipei residents to learn about the unique characteristics of different cultures through hands-on experience. The event will also invite international scholarship recipients from the "Taipei City Scholarships for Foreign Learners of Chinese" program to participate, share their cultural stories, and engage in interactive exchanges with the public. This will allow participants to enhance cross-cultural understanding and experience the charm of multicultural exchange.The Youth Innovation Market features four themes: "Ideals," "Style," "Low Carbon," and "Flavor." It includes vendors supported by the Department for Youth, such as "Hana Roll Confectionery" making low-sugar, additive-free handmade cookies; " The Venusians " making 100% handmade, eco-friendly jewelry; " Cao wu suo ", renowned for its triangular rush weaving craftsmanship; and "Chakao Illustration" offering practical and adorable customized souvenirs. These outstanding youth brands will be all present. In addition, the market showcased 30 youth brands covering sustainable design, handmade jewelry, 3D printing, specialty desserts, and specialty drinks. In addition, the event will feature four interactive exhibition areas, showcasing the achievements of young people in international exchange, public participation, entrepreneurial development, and career exploration through interactive installations and immersive experiences.
