What documents are required to apply for the Youth Study Loan at the lending bank?

(1) Applicants who have not gone abroad for study should provide:
1. Photocopy of a valid passport, photocopy of graduation certificates or equivalent academic qualifications from domestic high schools and colleges.
2. Original identity cards of the student and guarantor, and their seals.
3. Household registration transcript issued within the last three months.
4. The most recent year's comprehensive income tax assessment notice issued by the tax authority for the student or the taxpayer declaring the student as a dependent. If not reaching the declaration standard, provide the latest annual income data list issued by the tax authority.
5. Proof of admission, enrollment certificate, registration documents, or other relevant documents from the foreign school (non-English documents must be accompanied by a Chinese translation issued by a government-recognized translation agency).
6. The page of the reference list of foreign universities or the school name printed from the Ministry of Education's International and Cross-Strait Education Division website.
7. For professional certification, provide the qualification certificate equivalent to post-associate degree recognized by the relevant authority of the study country and the proof of full-time study for more than half a year.
8. Affidavit of non-duplicate loan application.
(2) Applicants who have already gone abroad for study should provide:
1. Items 1-8 as above.
2. Certificate of entry and exit dates issued by the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior.
3. Authorization letter notarized by a notary public or certified by our diplomatic missions, representative offices, offices, or other agencies authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs if unable to handle the loan in person.
4. If the public funding period has ended, provide proof of the period of receiving public funds, and if the original appointing agency approves further self-financed study abroad, provide the agency's approval documents.
(3) The standards for equivalent academic qualifications apply to Article 2 and Article 3 of the "Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Academic Qualifications for University Admission." Still, graduates or students from high schools and colleges in mainland China and foreign countries do not meet the qualification for the Youth Study Loan. (4) Proof of enrollment should be provided by the foreign school, indicating the department, degree pursued, and the period of study. Alternatively, provide a photocopy of the student ID with course selection information that includes department and degree.
