On the 5th of this month, the team from the Department for Youth, Taipei City Government visited the AAMA Co-Learning and Co-Creation Base located at Huashan 1914 Creative Park. The visit was attended by Commissioner Chen Jun-an of the Department of Economic Development and Commissioner Zhao Shi-long of the Department of Information and Technology, who were warmly welcomed by Chairman Yan Lou-you and CEO Chen Ying-zi of the Co-Creation Platform Foundation and their team.
The AAMA Co-Learning and Co-Creation Base adheres to the principle of "success cannot be replicated, but wisdom can be passed on." Since launching the AAMA Taipei Incubator Program in 2012, the program has entered its 13th phase. It connects successful entrepreneurs with emerging entrepreneurs to provide one-on-one consulting and organize networking events, adapting to international trends and diverse entrepreneurial fields. To date, AAMA has supported nearly 300 startups, created over 17,000 jobs, and nurtured 11 national startup brands, with total revenue exceeding NT$50 billion.
Commissioner Yin Wei of the Department for Youth stated that the spirit of the Department aligns with that of the foundation, aiming to "co-learn, co-create, and co-prosper" with the youth. Besides supporting entrepreneurship, the organization also provides internship opportunities to nurture more startup talents, hoping to offer entrepreneurial resources during students' academic stages to stimulate "entrepreneurial spirit" and increase career development possibilities. Commissioner Yin looks forward to collaborating with the Co-Creation Platform Foundation to gain deeper insights into the needs of startups and create a more conducive environment for their growth and development in Taipei City.
Commissioner Chen Jun-an of the Department of Economic Development noted that there is a hope to provide innovative educational opportunities for students to expand their development potential. Commissioner Zhao Shi-long of the Department of Information and Technology, as a member of the AAMA Incubator Program, understands the challenges of entrepreneurship. He remarked that entrepreneurship involves doing what has not been done before; although the process can be solitary, the potential for creation is limitless and is a crucial step towards success. Under the leadership of influential organizations like AAMA, he believes that more people will join the startup movement, fostering the vibrant development of Taipei's industries.
During the visit, Chairman Yan Lou-you led the city government team on a tour of the AAMA workspace. The office area features an open design, bright lighting, and a youthful atmosphere. Chairman Yan particularly highlighted the outdoor platform, while CEO Chen introduced the increasingly relaxed and diversified nature of recent entrepreneurial exchange activities. The platform creates a relaxed environment for entrepreneurs to exchange information and business opportunities across different industries, acknowledging that modern work can be stressful. Therefore, they encourage staff to use the outdoor office area to unwind and enjoy the scenic views of Taipei City. Commissioner Yin Wei also mentioned that the Department for Youth building has a rooftop garden, and hopes to create a similar outdoor area in the future to provide a comfortable and relaxing work environment that fosters new ideas and motivation.
